At Real World Horsemanship, riding lessons are about so much more than learning how to stay in the saddle.

We teach riders how to become confident, capable horse people — from grooming, tacking and groundwork to balance, communication, trail skills and thoughtful riding. Every private lesson is tailored to the individual rider, whether you’re climbing into the saddle for the very first time, returning after years away, rebuilding confidence, or ready to sharpen your skills and take on something new.

Our lessons can include Western riding foundations, walk/trot/canter work, groundwork and desensitization, obstacles, trail and ranch riding, barrel and pole basics, Mustang horsemanship, confidence building and more. English riding is also available by request.

We welcome ages 3 to 103 and believe good horsemanship starts with understanding the horse — not simply telling one where to go.

Riding Lessons

Private riding lessons start at $75/hour or $45/30 min and are tailored to each rider’s age, experience, confidence level, and goals.

Trail & ranch riding skills

Not everyone is looking for a formal riding lesson — sometimes you just want to get in the saddle, enjoy a horse, and have a great experience.

We also offer membership options for riders who want to ride regularly, build skills consistently, and make horses a bigger part of their routine.

Not looking for a formal lesson? We offer relaxed riding experiences too — perfect for beginners, visitors, families, couples, or anyone who simply wants to get in the saddle and enjoy some horse time without committing to a lesson program.
